Can I get married in Portugal?
A.
Anyone can have a Wedding Celebration ceremony (not legally recognized), and you may be able to have a religious blessing or a civil wedding. Please see details and requirements under Legal and religious info.

Will I be able to speak in English with the people working at my wedding?
A.
Many people in Portugal speak english. You may choose to book a wedding coordinator who will be able to help you with communications.
Q.
How long in advance should I start planning?
A.
A 12 month planning period is perfect for most situations. Most venues get booked during the summer for the following summer. If you are looking for a very popular wedding venue and a Saturday wedding in July or August you may have to book even earlier.
Q.
What’s the minimum planning time?
A.
If you spontaneously decide you want to have a Wedding celebration Ceremony let’s say next week, we will do our best to make this happen. For any ceremony that requires paperwork you should have at least 2 months to ensure all papers are in order.
Q.
What does a wedding in Portugal cost?
A.
A wedding in Portugal costs considerably less than for example in Ireland or the UK. Even so some service prices might be similar, the overall amount is less. You can have anything from € 25 per person for a welcome drink and a nice group meal in a lovely restaurant to a reception package for € 180 pp including many extras and the highest quality food and drink.
Q.
What if I have to cancel my wedding?
A.
If you have to cancel your wedding you will lose your deposit payments. You will not owe any money. Often weddings can be rescheduled without loosing any deposit payments.
